It seems like the older I get, the more busy my life becomes. Does anyone else feel like this? Maybe we just have more things around us to grab our attention (social media, television, internet, etc.) along with our everyday life. Between working a full-time job, being a mom, a wife, taking care of home duties, it’s difficult to find time to bake, paint, write, and make time for family.
I recently posted a video on my Facebook page where I talked about how I’m balancing my heavy schedule. Check it out, if you haven’t already.
Can you relate? I’ve learned the hard way that it is important to create some sort of balance. In the past I’ve been overwhelmed and drained. I don’t want to live that way anymore, so it was important for me to pace myself. Not only did I begin a new job, I’m building a business from my passions and I don’t want to burn out in the process.

Here’s a little bit of what I’ve been up to in these first few months of 2017:
Red Velvet Cupcakes
Carrot Cupcakes and mini layered cake
Cinnamon Rolls (before the icing)

Recent paintings -I wanted to do some abstract work as opposed to my regular paintings, so here are the results. I think I’m on to something…
Lastly, I finally printed some flyers. My brother did a great job. I love them and have received great responses…
…And lots more activities and baking that I didn’t mention.
Thank you to Sis. Mae Francis for ordering cookies and cake pops for your event.

Five notes I’ve made to myself:
- Slow down and focus on what’s important.
- Remove things from your plate if you’re beginning to feel overwhelmed.
- Keep moving.
- Be disciplined in ALL areas of my life.
- Be organized.

When you have a lot on your plate, how do you manage eveything so that you are not overwhelmed? I’d love to know.
Peace and Love!
