“I’ve learned that fear limits you and your vision. It serves as blinders to what may be just a few steps down the road for you. The journey is valuable, but believing in your talents, your abilities, and your self-worth can empower you to walk down an even brighter path. Transforming fear into freedom – how great is that?” – Soledad O’Brien
Hi there! I love that quote. Many people live in the state of fear not realizing that if they just make the move, what they want may not be that far way. Freedom comes when you drive through the fear and do it anyway. It’s a great feeling.
I posted a video to my Facebook page a couple weeks ago and I’m still overwhelmed with all of the positive feedback. I had gone back and forth about whether or not I should do one, knowing that I really wanted to. I don’t have any fancy equipment or backdrops, but I do have a phone with a pretty good camera. I actually do all of my photograhy with my phone, so why not a video?
Whoa, this was so out of my comfort zone. I was definitely nervous and stumbled over a few words, however, I wanted to change things up a bit from my regular posts. I also want to start filming myself making the recipes (today was my first attempt, yay!)

Yep, that’s my son running in the background. As a mom, it has been difficult to make time for the things I enjoy. However, I’m determined to get that time, even if I get 4 hours of sleep before getting up for work. I’d like to thank my brother for helping me get it done. I can’t wait to see the finished product!
Oops, I got off track. Back to the video…Since I have decided to do things differently this year, I stepped out of my comfort zone and pressed record. It took me about an hour to film, edit, and then upload. Not too bad for my first time! However, I immediately went into hiding after I shared it to my page, only to quickly check in on FB to see what people said in the comments periodically.
Gosh, that was so nerve wrecking. My whole life I’ve been comfortable playing it safe and in the background. I can speak up and get in front of crowds if I have to, but the introvert in me is always freaking out inside and would rather do something else. Yep, she freaked out with this video too! Haha, but it only gave me more confidence that I’m on the right track with Blooming August and that people are actuallt interested in what I have to share with the world.

Thanks again for joining me on this journey. It’s has been healing to my spirit and I’m ready to see where it will take me. See you again soon!
Peace and Love!
